When Cyclone Hudhud pounded the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha with heavy rain and winds on Sunday, a trail of devastation and destruction was left behind in Visakhapatnam where the very severe storm made landfall leaving 21 people dead. Normal life was thrown completely out of gear as winds with a speed of 170 to 180 kmph battered Visakhapatnam. When such terror struck the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh, the aftermath consists of nothing but horror and devastation.
In this hour of need, we require a helping hand. That helping hand is extended towards the victims by Relief India Trust. Victims are in need of medical attention, clean water, food etc. Relief India Trust is collecting funds and setting up camps for the victims of this causality.
Several relief camps have been set up in Vizag to provide food and medicines to the people who lost their homes following the cyclonic storm that hit the areas.
It was shocking to see so much damage being done by the powerful Cyclone, resulting in lost of Electricity, Properties, Trees, Electric Polls, transformers, Food etc.
So much of Food Shortage:
“For the last two days, people have been eating biscuits and chips. The drinking water which was stored was already over, so cannot cook anything. There has been no power for the last three days. When some food trucks arrived, anxious and angry people just raided them and took away whatever they could. Some people took away 10 packets while others got nothing,”
Relief India Trust Put an enormous effort in helping needy people by providing food packets in a systematic manner. People were so much hungry and exhausted as they haven't eaten food for almost two days.
Therefore let’s help the helping hand so that we can overcome the destruction caused by this natural disaster.
